Vietnam Alumni Mentoring

INITIATE – CONNECT – SHARE

Founded by UEH Alumni and Your Study Support in 2016, Vietnam Alumni Mentoring aims to provide university students in Vietnam with valuable insights into different industries; and to enhance essential skill sets for their personal and professional development. The program targets to create a positive setting in which Mentors have a chance to pay it forward and share their knowledge, skills, experience as a professional with the Mentees in need.

STUDENTS' PROBLEMS

& Why we want to help

Different numbers, same story

In 2017, more than 200,000 university graduates failed to find a job. Meanwhile, 69% companies commented that the biggest challenge in recruiting was the applicant’s lack of ready-to-work skills.

Besides inadequacy of the necessary skills, students’ laziness, lack of motivation and orientation, impractical thinking, consuming time for unhelpful activities also pose major problems.

Many students want to improve their situation but do not know where to start.

testimonials

"VAM is my second family during my university life. Not only am I matched with mentors, I am also given the opportunities to work for many meaningful projects! And one of the biggest supports that VAM has granted me is my first job at SRI Consulting. I am appreciative of anh Minh, a mentor of the program and also the founder of the company, who has trusted me and guided me in the first post-graduation years."

"UEH Mentoring has brought to me so many values during the past three consecutive years of joining as a mentee and a support team member. Ever since I took part in this initiative, I have witnessed major changes within myself. I have gradually improved my soft skills, got a score of 750 in TOEIC starting all from scratch and especially earned an internship at PwC Vietnam. I feel so fortunate to be a mentee of Mentor Son and Trang, even now I still keep in touch with both."
